They say never do business with family, we proved otherwise!

Both of us were having a good hustle in our jobs but our pops always said that you can only get so far in your job and it’ll never be something you can call your own.

The thought of endless possibilities and opportunities with having our own business never crossed our minds. But they say that destiny is the push of our instincts to the pull of our purpose. 

Then came the execution part, as our family has been into the textile business for over 2 decades, we thought why not piggyback on that and go all in with doing the designing, manufacturing and marketing in-house and sell to the end users. Ambitious, ain’t it?

From there on, we created The Thread Weavers, an all women run, wholly owned subsidiary of M/s. Meghna Handlooms. It didn’t take a lot of convincing with our mum, who is the Director of the parent company to lend her expertise to help us market the brand. Our manufacturing unit is in Bhagalpur, the silk capital of India. This gives us a strategic advantage of being closer to our weavers and a competitive advantage of sourcing our raw materials at the best possible price. What’s in it for me, you may ask?

All these goodies are passed on to you. With everything being done in-house, there are no middlemen involved due to which you get the best price. Every order is given utmost attention so that you don’t get any unpleasant surprises. We’re one of the very few brands who offer customisation of products.
